Sorry i didnt see your original post in the "waste of time" section

Clearly im joking (Or am I??)

It is my HONEST opinion that such balls (and i use that lightly and with no sense of irony) are a complete waste of time. It is completely and utterly down to YOU to experiment and find that line and that throw of the cueball when side is applied and to learn that and to remember that. Such balls are not worth the postage youll pay for it.

This is however just ONE opinion.

Yes, they are no different than any other cue ball. There are better things to spend money on

I don't see the point personally, You hit it, it spins what else is it telling you? You can see the side on the ball when it comes off the cusion.

I had to use one of these cue balls a few weeks back when the pool hall had no other set to offer since they were quite busy. I personally believe a ball like this could be useful to newer players who are still looking to understand the basic reactions of side, it's a useful visual aid I think, since you can very clearly see the effects of reverse, swerve, ect, and it can help you realize whether or not you're putting unwanted side on, as new player, these things can be difficult to absorb and I think if I had young player taking up the game I might have him play around with one of these, if of course it was the same weight and composite as the other balls on the table.

CTquick its a fair point although as a coach to 11-16 year olds I teach them all about side etc with a normal cue ball from the offset.
