but is there like a difference between the two? in terms of durability and quality? i know aluminum is still aluminum.

but lets say we want to mail or transport something overseas, isnt that something worth thinking over about?
i mean. what exactly is the best and the safest gauranteed way to send cues? particularly 1 pieces

Cue craft are the best aluminium cases in the market currently,thick foam keeps the cue compact and the aluminium is of very good grade.Top Quality!!
Mastercue don't make cases.They are just labelled as mastercue case but they are made by several manufacturers.
As far as comparision goes,I would recommend Cue Craft anyday.

You know where you are with a Cue craft case. I had a Peradon ali case not as good and I've seen other makes of ali case were the fit is not perfect when shut.

I personaly think the old Barracuda aluminum cases are the best made aluminum cases.
Only things wrong I have seen are the handles broken.

Some cheap aluminum cases have very bad clasps and they will not hold the case tight, the end plastic caps can easily come off as well.

Aluminum is not a very strong metal to begin with, a very well built leather case will protect the cue better in my opinion, although the exterior leather may got ripped and what not over time, the cue will have a better chance of staying intact than a aluminum case. Just my opinion.

Try some PVC tubes used by the plumbers, with screw on end caps, to ship your one piece overseas. Those can be purchased for about 10 bucks, and they are stronger than any case, plus they can be airtight with the end caps tightened.

You can drop this tube with yoru cue inside in the pool, and it has a much better chance of staying dry than any case on the market. These tubes were built for plumbing and they are not supposed to leak.

If you put your aluminum case on the floor and jump on it, what do you think would happen?

Well, the PVC tube will not break or crack at all.

How do I know, because I have had one and I have tried all sorts of things with it.

They are very strong and not too heavy. They are used in sewage, drainage, and so on., It is the same material used in the pipes under your sink, but it is straight and wider.
You can find any length you want from your local hardware store. Just ask for the PVC pipes used in plumbing.
You can get one that is 58", may be about 4-5" in diameter or smaller, and get two end caps. You need to send extensions seperately. Witht he end caps the tube becomes airtight, which is good because that helps to prevenmt movement of the wood due to temperature variation. Put some silicon gels in there to absorb moisture, you have your self soem very good protection, for about $10!
They are the more durable and cheapest solution for shipping one piece that I know of.

it's so hard to close it when you have your cue inside.

Bend your cue? Surely the foam is flat so how would uniform pressure on the cue bend it?
