          • For me i've found that miscuing at all is pretty rare with this tip.

            • I've just bought a pot from ADR, using MW supertips atm, are these multi-layered tips? Apologies if this has been discussed, but I know that I read something about it somewhere, can't remember though.

              • Well, on the weekend, i gave my mate James Mifsud (ranked number 6 in australia for snooker) a tip because his brother, Steve, had really liked the 1 i gave him. I also gave him a pack of 5 to sell to Luke Hough (ranked top 20ish?) when he was at a tournament last weekend. i hadnt heard back from james, as i had seen him last friday. i then asked Luke if he got the tips off james, and he told me he didnt want them, because he had already gotten some and he tried one, and miscued with a massive chunk flying out. i then asked james what he thought of the tip, and james said the same thing. 2 top players, same weekend, miscueing and massiv chunk coming off the tip. sounds like really bad odds, but i just wanted to know if this ever hapened to anyone.

never happened to me, and i hardly miscue with these. only miscue after 3 shots without chalking it..

anyways, he said he will giv it another try. -_-

All i wanted to do was spread awareness of new things to australia.. people are so against change sometimes it hurts. lol

                      • Pro Granite tips are very good.
Hold the chalk well, give you a good grip on the cueball.
They don't loose shape and are very responsive.

These tips look very hard at the outset but when you trim them down and shape them they become softer.

Cheers to Stuart for a great product!

                        • Ok, I've a question regarding pro granite tips. I was off snooker for a while,so after I fitted the tip, I played with it maybe a few months later. Anyhow, since I've a 9mm cue, and generally the say the height of the tip should be 1/3rd of its diameter, I reduced a bit of height after I fitted it. Could this have led to the tip not producing much spin? It seems like it doesn't quite grip the cue ball. I'm comparing it with a elk. Its especially evident on the screw shots. So is it possible that the reduced height means there isn't enough 'meat' on the tip to get the action,or is it just a whole lot more difficult to do than with an elk?

                          • Hey, i play with a 9mm and i leave the overall height at about half of the size of my ferrule. and then i play it in. even if its tall to begin with, play it in before u start sanding it down. i find it plays in to a rlly good height and doesnt feel too tall/unnatural.

                            • i'd back that up too. Dont sand the tip down too much leave it higher and play it in a bit. Like i said about these tips on another thread, i had one installed 2 days ago and went down the club on saturday to try it out. I was skeptical at first after reading how hard people said they were on this forum but i thought they were brilliant. They grip the cue ball alot more than elks which is all i had ever previously used and you can get alot more reaction on the cue ball. And after 6 hours practice the shape hadnt change at all.

                              • Ah! There we go then! Thanks guys! ok,so I guess I'm going to replace this one.. I think its compressed way too much to give enough reaction.. But apart from that, consistency and feel is awesome! Can't complain at all.. Its quite brilliant, really! I think the mushrooming I've encountered is also because there isn't enough tip to bed in. Thanks a mill guys! Great help!
