They do feel a little different to trim, a nice sharp blade will do the job nicely.

And you'll love um, they are great, fairplay..

Must order a new tub off adr soon, i recently ruined the 1 on my cue....(don't ask).....

      • I was a bit apprehensive so only bought 2 to try and i wish i had bought the 5, they are no way near too hard, in my opinion they are just right, trim down with no problem and even though i just put 1 on today its holding its shape and just feels right, i will definetly order more as needed, after the horrible experience i had with the talisman tip i last tried which lasted 3 weeks before splitting

                  • Thanks Andrew for sending me a sample.
Nice tip and way better than Elks or BD. easy enough to put on and cut, feel hard to the touch but play a lot softer. They hold their shape a lot better than any other pressed tip and for just under £2 you cant go wrong.
For me they are a little to soft as i use talisman hard. but i could use these, would just take me a while to adjust.
Overall verdict, if you like a nice pressed tip, the way elks used to be, then you will love these. Great value for money and nice to play with.
If you like a hard tip like talisman M-H i think you would find these a little on the softer side but nowhere near as soft as elks. I would give these tips an 9-10 and would recommend them.

                        • Well its just personal prefrence. Its not a slight on the tips they are good.

                          • I fitted one of these today.

It's the first time i've tried such a hard tip, I've always been happy with my Mike Wooldridge Supertips after getting fed up of trying to find a decent Elkmaster.

I have to say i'm surprised how much I liked it, they hold chalk really well, it's easy to fit and plays really well.

I felt like I had a little more control over the cue ball, and I actually beat my playing partner who is alot better than me.

He regularly makes 40/50 breaks compared to my 20 breaks if i'm lucky, but tonight I played alot better.

Now i'm not saying this is down to the tip, but I did feel happy with it straight away.

                            • Another thumbs up from me on Pro G tips........Recently got a couple of tubs of them and have them fitted on a few different (mostly 8ball) cues atm..... Their playing characteristics relative to other tip types have been well enough described here already so no point in me rattling on....... except to say that they are a very good product indeed and great value for such good tips.

                              Nice one Stu!!:snooker:

                              • Just in case anyone misunderstood my post regarding these tips, let me clarify.
I think these tips are very very good, and my own opinion was they are far superior to any other pressed tip i have ever used.
I only said I found it a little softer than a Talisman Hard(that I use)
This is no Slight on the tips, i am sure most who use Talisman hard would say they are like rocks and would probably say they are too hard.
I will state once again, i like these tips a lot and could use them no problem and i give them the thumbs up.
