  • Name that case!!!

Recently I bought a cue off JRC to see how I got on with light cues (its 16.5 oz) and needed a case to go with it. So I found one on Ebay I hoped to win cheap, because the seller had 0 feedback and the pictures didn't really show anything I thought I might get it cheap. Which I did, for 22 pounds delivered.

I had no idea what I was buying to be honest from the pics could have been anything from a Peradon leather case to one of the cheap ones that comes with the Chinese cues on Ebay. I figured it would be a surprise when it arrived

Now I have the case and it's actually a pretty decent case. Problem is I stil have no idea what case it is! The case is 3/4 and looks exactly like the Cue craft leatherette cases that ADR sells... Except for the handle and position of the hinges (and no cue craft logo). The handle has metal (rivets? poppers? don't know how you would describe them) next to the handle which the ebay ones do. Also there are 4 hinges, whereas the cue craft has just 3. It has partitions inside for the cue rather than foam as I have seen in a lot of the ebay cases. It also has straps with buckles whereas a lot of cheap ebay cases would have poppers like you would find on clothing.

Maybe it doesn't really matter at the end of the day, I'm just interested if anyone knows what it is. As I keep thinking "oh its that one" then you notice something like the hinges are in the wrong place and think "oh no it's not".

So name that case.... Anyone seen one like it before?

Oh and I've pre-empted the smart comments and no, its name isn't Fred

even though they are cheap they are really well made cases, only somebody who knows about cases can see that its leatherette, the quality is really good and the look and fabric is very very close to leather.very strong also though.
