Aramith Tournament Champion Balls

Simple question...
Are they really as good as they are hyped up to be?
Thinking of buying a set and leaving them in a locked case with the local snooker hall owner.

I think the answer is "probably"! I researched this a few weeks ago. There's loads of threads on the subject. A lot depends on your own ability and the quality of table you are playing on. If you're on a crap table then the balls won't matter that much. I ended up just buying a set of Aramith Premier for £50. They're OK. Bit light TBH. I saw Tournament for as low as £90 so maybe the extra is worth it.

if i went to a tournament and the did not have aramith tournamentchampion balls i would not play there are the only balls if you are using anything else then you are not playing snooker

the simple answer is yes,,, if you are serious about your snooker you shouldnt be playing with anything else,because if you enter any half decent pro-ams now they are using "proper" balls,and if your practising with anything else you will struggle ,, it is well worth buying your own set ,,,,,

It's true.. totally agree. The commercial really has a big difference if compare to the professional balls. Try out both, you will see the difference and get upset with the commercial type. Not sure whether it's my problem a not, whenever I hit hard the ball tends to fly out of table and somtimes hit the pocket ring comes back to the table..

There is the third range: Crystalate - Havier than Tournament champion balls (141,..). But anyway ”if you are using anything else then you are not playing snooker”.

Thanks for all your comments guys, I decided to invest in a set of these.
Nothing wrong with having good balls eh....
Will leave them in a locked case down my local snooker hall where I always play, the owner is a great guy and already said he will look after them for me!

Can you let me know where you bought them from . I'm after a set for myself . Looked everywhere and getting confused over size and type to get . Obviously i would want the professional set . So if someone could point me in the right direction , that would be great.

you need the 2 1/16 size balls.
You can get them various places online, I got mine off of Ebay, guy was selling a set he had for a month or two.
You can get them from sellers on there from £95 + P&P upwards

Forgot to say that i want a carry case with them . Assume ebay sellers don't have these .

The people selling them on Ebay are a company.
You can buy from their website direct, but for some reason they charge more!
Makes no sense to me as they have to pay ebay fees etc...

Neil Craftsman cues in Leeds do both the balls and a case to hold them in. The case is about £38 and the Tournament balls are £95. The Aramith Premier balls are £55.
Postage is extra and these are heavy items so might be expensive. Craftsman are a good reputable company so you are safe as houses buying from them and their prices are very competitive from what I've seen. All that said I didn't buy my balls from them!!! Can't think for the life of me why not. I bought mine off e-bay and I think the company were based in Surrey which might be handy for you and save postage. I'll look out their name and post it. They were very good. Price was a tiny bit lower than Craftsman and delivery was in two days. Can't fault them. Customer feedback was 100%. I very nearly bought from an e-bayer in Tyrone who was quite cheap. Their feedback indicated that they had failed to deliver to several customers!!

Neil Just checked my e-bay stuff. The company I used was the_snooker_centre and they are in Surrey. No address given in e-bay though so maybe someone's garage! Their Tournament Champion balls are £84.95 plus £5.95 postage. Item reference is 280465270042 if you want to look. They also do a case. Fur lined if your into that sort of thing!!
