Anyways, got in last night and gave my balls a polish asap, then thought about snooker.... I had some Aramith ball cleaner already so thought might as well make sure they are 100% clean first.
Took them down my local club and got the owner to switch bookings so I could use the best table, its great when your one of their best customers, and the owner is a really nice guy.
I couldnt believe the difference these balls made, not just for me but for my brother also. Neither of us are of a great standard, my best break is only 77 and his is in the 40s, but we noticed that they really helped our play.
The balls seem heavier than normal club balls, and because of this you dont need to hit them quite so hard to get the same reactions. Doesnt take Einstein to work out that if you are not blasting every ball and your cueing 'within yourself' then you are going to pot more balls! The reaction was great from the balls, my brother struggles with cue power but as soon as he overscrewed one shot, he was givin it the biggun thinkin he was Jimmy White! lol.
My advice to anyone who can, buy these balls and stick to them, they will help your game improve, they certainly helped us have some real good games last night, and although the best break was only in the 30s, they really make them easier to pot.
All I gotta do now is get used to them and find my touch in and around the balls.
1 last thing I will add, we played 5 frames, and we can only recall 1 kick throughout! Normal clubs balls we get kicks all the time!!

I played with a set at an away match on Tuesday night and banged in a nice 46 . They do make a massive difference . I was not playing well and you are right , you don't have to bang the balls . It gave me alot more confidence and it was the best that i've played with my new cue . Can't wait to get a set .

At home I play balls Aramith Cristalite. I really like the feel of control a ball with them.

Aramith Tournament Champion balls are certainly the best set of balls you can get. They are perfectly made and there isn't really any other alternative. Especially when you use the club balls which are usually really bad.

If I've looked these up correctly from your reference number these are the ones sold by The_snooker_centre in Surrey for £54.95. I bought these ones a month ago from e-bay after a lot of reading posts on the Forum. I was very happy with the price and delivery was within a day or so. Excellent e-bayer. However...............
If you're intending to use these balls for league matches then I don't think they are the ones for you. They are lighter than the Tournament Champion balls and I don't think that good players like that. I weighed my balls at the post office and they come in at around 122g each whereas the TC balls are around 142g each. It hasn't made any difference to me as I just play for fun and am very average. From your perspective I think if you turn up for a match with your own set of light balls you may be seen as "seeking to gain an advantage!".
One other thing to mention is you should make sure you buy your balls from a reputable supplier, eg, Craftsman Cues in Leeds . Apparently there's a lot a fakes going around.

The premier balls are not really that different to club balls.
In fact, my local club actually has a couple of these sets that they consider "the better balls" and even the owner held his hand up and set that my set of Tournament Champions p*ss all over them! So much so that he now uses them every time he plays lol.
I would say dont bother buyinng these, as the upgrade from club balls is not significant enough, you are better off saving ur money and buying a set of the tournament champs at a later date.
But this is just my opinion, im sure there are others who may disagree

whufcarl Any ideas on what make club balls would be? The ones in my club are definitely heavier than my Aramith Premier but I don't think the club would shell out for Tournament Champion. Guy in the club couldn't tell me. Didn't even have the cardboard box to show me. Is there a particular make that all the clubs use? Would have to be mucho cheapo I suppose. Just interested.
I totally agree with your comments about saving your money and buying Tournament Champion. From all the posts I've read, if your a serious player into league snooker, then its the only way to go. I only bought the Aramith cos its nice to place with a clean, shiny set with no chips or scratches.
