These reducers are for American tables only. Snooker pockets with this thing? The ball probably could not pass through then...LOL.
A few years ago when I played only pool we did buy them for our club. It was fun, but I guess made the game totally different, so not really that useful. And no, potting on that 9ft pool table with reducer was NOT as hard as snooker, even though some potting angles became impossible.
I believe that tight pocket itself won't make your cue action any better. It will only expose existing flaws to more extent. But then it is up to you to invest some time to fix those flaws.
I think that snooker pockets, even slightly larger ones are sufficiently small to expose all flaws in your technique.
Last time I went shopping in town some thief stole my wallet and my credit cards. I never bothered reporting it to the police because the guy who stole it was spending less than she does.:snooker:
same reason i have a dartboard with 1/2 size doubles and trebles, when ur aiming at smaller targets, ur accuracy improves. when u start playing with normal size targets again the game becomes a hell of a lot easier.
apart from anything, clubs cut their pockets in a way so that they are forgiving, they want u to pot balls!
Or what would actually happen is that you lose your confidance, find yourself dollying pots in because you're scared they wont go in your smaller pockets at pace and you sacrafice your positional play.
Surely you want your practice to be on the same tables you play your matches, the same reason pro's have been going out buying the star tables.. not adding socks to their old ones!

Good idea. I've got a pair of old socks you can have at half price mate, 20quid...bargain
Yeah I imagine the players had the hump there. Pay 10k for a Riley Aristocrat, then find out you have to replace it with an 8k Star (which are inferior apparently).
