When I bought my new cue I made sure I got an aluminium case with it, and it is excellent. Come to think about everyone I know locally thats into snooker/pool are all wanting aluminium cases since they "look better"

Lasts a lifetime. It's got foam rubber inside to keep the cue absoultely still and protected against damage. About £25, quite cheap me thinks!

Oh yes, that's the problem with my case, the cue keeps knocking about and the tip gets damaged.
