If you mean the one I was talking about, then yes. The cue move about 2-3 mm if you shake the case (why anyone would want to do that! ).

I have several leather cue cases also aluminium and plastic. There are pros and cons to all of them. Contrary to popular belief leather cases are quite strong, of course they are not as strong as a metal case and more vulnerable to cosmetic markings. Aluminuim cases are heavy and the Cuetec ones are a bit too tight also if you have an expensive cue like me I worry about it knocking against the metal case when taking out or packing away my cue. The ideal cue case I feel should be made of leather with nice trimmings but with the riggedness and strength of aluminium and the only ones that come close to this is Glover Cue cases with metal corners and thick leather hide. I have one of their old cases but I dont know if they still use thick hides these days.

So do you recommend a nice thick hide?

I have a really crappy one.
You play a long slow deadweight red to a corner pocket. As it approaches the pocket, a kamikaze woodlouse crawls out from under the cushion and makes its way across the table, conflicting with the path of the red precisely at the point the red gets there. The red, needless to say, veers off course, and the future of the woodlouse is uncertain. - The Statman

I don't use a case. I just stuff the cue down my trousers and if I walk funny, with a limp, that'll just make my opponents underestimate me!
