  • 1 piece aluminium case - which should I buy?

This is my first post here.......so, hi, everybdy!

I need to get a new 1 piece aluminium case but 100% sure what to get. I know there are already threads on here about this but I wanted to compare a few different cases.......namely Craftsman, Cue Craft, Barracuda and Peradon.

The cheapest I could find so far has been the Craftsman case but I want a black one ideally, so I might discount that anyway. Most people seem to lean towards the Cue Craft case but i've also seen quite a few recomendations for Barracuda cases. I haven't read much on here about Peradon cases, so i'm not sure what to make of them.

Any opinions would be much appreciated!

Welcome to the forum Doc , i can only speak personally for and recommend the cue craft which is a solid well made case that offers the cue maximum protection .

Not saying the others dont snd i,m sure many will comment on them .

I have two cue craft cases and one is brilliant but the other one has a small gap so when I close the case you can still see some of the foam and shaft...
You cannot improve your game if you don't have a cue and snooker table

              Hi,

I have a Cuecraft case, and I'm quite happy with it. But having said that Barracuda did make a tournament case a few years ago, which is the best Aluminum case I've seen. It's a bit wider than a normal case giving you enough room for tackle of all sorts. I've only seen it as a 3/4 case but if this were being sold as a 1 piecer I would buy it without a second thought!

              Brian.

They do, the other space is for extensions!

My case has just the basic tackle inside and there is no room for other things. Even room for chalk comes at a push!

I have just found this website. It looks quite cheap and they even have barracuda 1 piece case and some leather case for 35 quid

I have an old 1 piece Aluminium case called the "Black Fox". I believe there was also the "Silver Fox" aswell. I have to say that there is no ally case that comes even close to this.

Not really. The cases usually have a lip and will take a light amount, but in the end they will let rain seep in and the foam will soak up water. So if you get caught out always check incase the foam has got damp.
