mini butt or telescopic extension

Ime quite tall & so far i have never felt the need for a mini-butt (just as well as i aint got one lol) but do now & then use the telescopic. I would say if you cant afford both at this time then just buy the telescopic

im having a cue made by trevor white now and ive ordered a telescopic extension, i never use the mini butt i prefer to use the rest rather than stretch, but its personal preference

Mini butt for me..both are very useful but only mini is use by me most of the time:snooker:

It really is a matter of personal preference. Some players do not really use the mini because they are very tall or liek to use the rest instead, and some like to use the long rest supplied by the club rather than the telescopic extension...etc.
To make things more complex, there is also a telescopic mini that you can buy. I have one for myself, it is 9" and can be extended to 13.5".

Tele extension for me . Use it more than the mini butt .

Mini possibly. Don't really get to play that many shots that require the tele, and even if so it's ok to use the club's LONG ASS CUE.

I use both mini and extension, but not much good when using the rest. Even years ago, when was quite a decent player, was never any good with the rest. Was better with the old fashioned long cue and rest than with these extended ones.

Only wish that I could get to be able to use a rest. I play with two young blokes who are very, very good with the rest.

Telescopic for me. Well that is the one I paid for as my cue came with a free mini butt (Craftsman cues old classic range I think). Use both but use the telescopic more

As already said its Personal Preference really!....I always have Mini Butt & Tele Extension for all my Cues as I use Both alot.

So Both For me......

use the mini butt a lot more, for them just stretching slightly with the rest shots (inbetween blue and pink spot etc)

telescopic gets used around once every 3 or 4 matches if that
oh and im a tall player
