just today got a box of 50 titan tips. Had to opt for the 11mm because they only had these or 9mm which are too small. Retipping my cue now as i have a match later tonight so i will let you know my opinion on them once im back. If i dont get back too late it will be around midnight, if not sometime tomorrow. Best get back off to work then unfortunately!

DONT EVEN BOTHER BUYING THEM!!!! As i said thursday i put one on my cue ready for a match. I went to the club 2 hours before the match started to practice and bed it in and all i can say is they are awful and ive experimented with plenty of tips since ive been playing. Im a fairly decent player and very often win frames in one visit but i found these tips to be similar to when you get a dodgy pro granite. By this i mean when you miscue over and over again, no grip or anything on the cue ball. The quality just seems really cheap. I gave it a chance though and even roughed it up a bit using sandpaper and that didnt make any difference so i used a tip pik. No difference, so ten minutes before my match started i bit it off and stuck a hard elk on one that i already had played in early last month . I also went on to win my match.
I am going to try another titan jupiter tips out of the box tonight and go down to the club for a few hours practice and ill let you know if this ones any different. In my opinion they are nothing like getting a perfect hard elk everytime as ive heard people say about them.
Definately not worth ago in my opinion willtyson. I certainly wouldnt recommend them off that link either at £2 a tip + £1 delivery when you can get a box of 50 titan jupiter tips in 9mm or 11mm for £17.99 delivered.

Ronnie O'Sullivan says this guy knows his stuff, he states Titan tips are very good??
"You won't find a better set of snooker information anywhere. I would defy ANYBODY'S game not to improve if you stick to Nic's methods – and this will stay with you for life. I know this because Nic and I see the game the same way, and both have an appreciation for the finer points of the game."

How To Put A Professional Tip On In 12 Minutes.
http://www.thesnookergym.com
If your tip comes off in a match, you will generally be given 15 minutes to repair it or put a new one on.
This video shows how I learnt to put a tip on that can be played with instantly - all in 2 minutes.
I recommened Titan tips as they are harder than the Elkmasters I used to use. Elkmasters would always split, be too soft or too inconsistent throughout the box of 50 to put one on without it being very short and close to the ferrule when put on as new. Titan though plays like a new Elkmaster with no hardening required - and are very consistent.
Pro Granite I have tried but I found them to be TOO hard to the extent that the tip did not grip the cue ball properly until it seeme dto soften up after 5 days solid use - I have never had a tip get softer before!
The layered tips i dont believe in depsite all their marketing (even if they are made of flying pig skin and araldite!).
I feel that with a layered tip, the contact point on the cue ball will always be an inconsistent blend of leather or the adhesive used to bond the layers together.
I think it is marketing based rather than anything else.

The best kept secret in snooker imo. The most responsive tip I've ever used and I've tried them all.
I think the reason why people don't like them is when you first put one on they are very hard indeed but after a few days they will ease up a bit.
If you like your tips hard then you MUST give these a go.

I'm using one of these at the moment. They are very hard and I usually like a soft tip but this tip, IMO, is a very good tip. Hold chalk well, grips the cue ball, keeps shape, plays lovely when using extreme side, screw back etc. You can occasionally miss-cue on the cushion but if you're cueing well more often then not you won't. They are very hard when first used but soften a little after a couple of hours. I think it's another personal preference thing; they work for some and not for others. If you've not tried them give them a go http://www.titansports.co.uk/shop/Po...oker_Tips.html :snooker:"You have to play the game like it means nothing, when in fact it means everything to you" Steve Davis.
