As long as you "rough" up the aluminium to give the paint a chance of sticking, it may work, but more than likely after the very first knock it will look very messy very soon. If you give it a go take some pics mate

I have never sprayed a cue case but I have sprayed a lot of aluminium! The main thing people do is try to skimp on preparation. This is always a mistake. Make sure that the case is completely clean and abrade it very gently all over. This is done by using very fine abrasive paper. Then clean off all the residue created by the abrasion process- and I mean ALL of it otherwise the job will never look right. The next stage is primer. Of course this has to be the correct colour for your top coat but essentially it must be what is called etch primer. This is a special type of primer which works on aluminium. If you do not use an etch primer you will not get a good result. Once you have got the primer on anhd it is dry go ahead and top coat it. Work in warm conditions. Spraying is always much easier in the warm!
If you have any queries I suggest you find a Land Rover dealer. LRs have an aluminium body so LR dealers become very expert at spraying aluminium and tend to stock etch primer.
Why not try a metallic finish etch primer and then over coat with a coloured varnish- e.g. gold metallic primer and go over it with a green varnish. That can look very good.
I would mask off the locks on the case so when you finish those are still the original colour- thus getting a contrast.王可
