So, regardless of what the people are putting them for on ebay at.

What are they actually worth per tip or buying in bulk / a box?

How hard is hard? MW supertip hard or laminated hard??

Thanks DRAC, how many of these tips have you played with?

              How hard are they?

I am keen to try these but aint paying over the odds at £7 a tip. Maybe pay £7 for box with the different colour bottoms in the box.

ADR what you think these tips are worth?

Ok, I finally received my third box this morning, so figure I've pretty much got the monopoly on these things now, as there can't be that many in existence for sale other than the odd box.

I now have 9's in both red base and black base (not many red though as they seem very rare indeed) totalling about 95 tips.

I have about the same in size 11, and I have 49 tips in 10mm.

The 10mm are a very different box indeed, and the box is bright orange.

The lads on Ebay warm the market up for me, and just when the frenzy reaches fever pitch, I donate them to the snooker museum except 'one' and that 'one' goes to Southerby's for sixty billion dollars.

Seriously, I'm not sure what I want to do with them yet. I'm interested in them other than financially at the moment. Let the kiddies hit the market too early, and when they run out I can name my own prices lmao.

Can someone give me information as to the origin of the black or red base, and tell me what the bases are made of?

I've decided that I'm going to sell all my tips as a historic collection, comprising of 9mm, 10mm, and 11mm with some genuine red base tips in the 9mm.

Fender guitars from the 70's are now going for thousands, so I'm going to blow the tip market wide open.

I'm going to try one on my cue, and if I like it, will keep a few back for myself, but the rest I'm going to put on Ebay.

I'm going to start them off at £999 just for fun, and see where it goes.

I've got about 240 give or take a few. I'll count them properly when I get chance. I reckon these will become the most sought after tip on the market, and prices will exceed £10 per tip while stocks last, before the last few hit record prices.

I reckon that will give any buyer a profit of at least £1000, but as the numbers get less the prices will go up so who knows.

Serious offers welcome, and feel free to laugh by all means. We'll see who laughs last.

All I need to do is make sure I can afford their fees lol.

                  Timing is everything lol.

Feel free to pm me with sensible offers. :snooker:

Decided to sell as a historic collection.
Price reflects rarity and vintageness of item. When they're gone they're gone.
                    Good luck.

This all reminds me of about 5 years or so ago when the talk was all about Balabushka billiard chalk in a red box. They were going for crazy boxes, didn't ADR sell a box for around £200 or something stupid like that for 12! I even have a box here if anyone is interested though I won't be letting it go too cheap, LOL.

Personally I can't see the point in paying these sums of money for a tip, I mean its not like you know the quality or if after all these years they will hold up in todays power game. Once again Ebay causes everything to get out of perspective, silly money for cues, chalk and now tips.
