Well there's another fault with it, I didn't even spot that, must of been too tired from finding all the other one's.

I've sent more photos to ADR, the photos don't do this case and it's faults justice in all honesty. I can't seem to get really good ones, I think it might be because of the colour of the case, it's quite reflective.

When you view them, just so you know the little white dots on the case are actually holes, there's one photo which is good, hopefully you will be able to see it clearly enough, It was image 23, it's a clear hole.

Would anyone out there say I was unreasonable in expecting a refund?

I wouldn't say that is unreasonable - however I believe there is a rule that says that once you have allowed the seller to repair the item rather than replace or refund you are stuck with the further repair route, unless it can not be satisfactrily repaired. I could be wrong on this - perhaps someone with legal training could confirm. You could also contact trading standards about this issue - they can be very helpful.

No! I, personally, do not think you're being unreasonable in requesting a full refund.

It just seems this particular seller is desperate rather than keen on positive feedback & word-of-mouth!

Those white holes are caused by poor preparation in the gel coat. It looks to me like there have been imperfections that have been attempted to be repaired, possibly by the use of dolphin glaze, which can appear to be smooth when sanded until it's painted. Even more difficult to correct if the hinge has been in place.

The only way to properly fix this, is to drill out the hinges, sand down the surface with 400 wet & dry, then use a stopper filler to fill all the pin holes, re sand with 600 wet & dry, spray with primer, wet sand again with 600, then paint and lacquer.

This is just the same as doing car body work and not easy to get right if you're an amateur.

Ok, I give in, his ebay id is:

I didn't want to go through any of this, I just wanted a refund. Which i've asked for on numerous occasions, I've also given him numerous opportunities to sort this out before I posted this article.

I would of gone to his house, only for the fact he lives in Taunton, it would probably cost me that in petrol etc.

Hopefully, no-one else will have to go through this.
