The frustrating thing for me in even looking at your case, is that they should actually be easy enough to make, more so after you have created your first one.

All that is required is:
some MDF to make the original for moulding
filler
dolphin glaze
release agent
fibreglass sheeting
gel coat

and some cut out lettering if you want the case to be really fancy with your name embossed into it etc.

Then:
Step 1.
nail up the wooden master and router the edges, apply fillers to get rid of all the joints, prime with a few good coates, sand smooth, then paint with a really high gloss smooth finish.

Step 2.
Apply release agent to the painted surface, followed by some gel coat, then about 4 layers of strong fibreglass (this will create the master mould). Once dried, break away the fibreglass from the wooden master.

Step 3.
Lightly sand the inside of the master mould and apply lettering etc if required. Apply release agent, coat in gel coat, then about 3 - 4 layers of fibreglass. Once Dry, break apart and trim/sand excess fibreglass to create a smooth edge.

Step 4.
Lightly sand, prime and paint to desired colour, apply/glue foam inserts, attach hinges etc.

I mean, this is not rocket science to make these things... how can these guys get them sooooo badly wrong. It's really beyond me.

hi there, about the awful craftsmanship on the red case whats the ebayers name, example yours is... itxtomo, i want to see what other items this guy is selling and how he can even pull something like this off he must have stolen pictures from another seller or a website to sell his products..

hi again i found the seller, i bought a fibreglass case off of s&k fibreglass cue cases (seller:doody989) it cost a tad more than the seller u got that piece of junk from but this guys work is amazing i fully recommend him if u already havent ordered 1, and he does a colour scheme of your choice also
