There are carbon fiber veneers you can purchase that you can tape on such kind of cases, and they may look quite cool.
I am talking about the kind they put in interior of cars like what you see in the movie Fast and Furious.
You need to take your time to apply them precisely and then get all the air pockets out.
Because your case is very smooth without much folds or gaps this would eb a very good candidate for such a job
On a side note, it is probably not that easy to do a nice case like what you purcased unless you have a very good spray booth I would think. May be if you own or work in an auto bodyshop you can do this type of work after hours otherwise it is very hard to get the finish nice and smooth.
I would try to get some black carbon fiber veneers and tape them on the case or get someone to do it for you. Shops that work on modifying cars could likely help you. I would change the hinges and clasps as well--looks too dated if you go with a black carbon fibre exterior. Just paint the hinges matte black or get some matte black hinges and clasps would be nice. Most DIY stores sell these kind of things.

Is it just me then that thinks his case looks stunning and unique ?

Their won't be another fibreglass case like it, those holes and blemishes are unique to this case and you would find it very hard to fake them and make a cheap copy of it.

He's obviously found a hole in the market, ive not come across the tired, kn@ckered and distressed look before in brand new snooker cases.

I wonder if he'll branch out and start making cues.
