would be interesting to find out how the new chalk chalks... current chalks can be a bit messy, leaving chalk marks and residue in your pockets, fingers, case etc.
When life gives you lemons, don't make lemonade. Make life take the lemons back. GET MAD!!
That chalk is great. I just purchased one piece at the Super Billiards Expo in King of Prussia, PA on March 13th. The only chalk I have ever used that holds to the tip as well as it does. It also improves your cue ball control greatly. I have used it with my Poison Jump cue as well and can defenitely tell the difference with the control in those circumstances. Although extremely expensive since it was the first time it was released in the U.S., i feel it is well worth it since the time it will last due to it's durability.
i have had a sample of kamui chalk for over 4 months. the smooth powder which texture doesnt same as trangle chalk but hold chalk very well. nice product!
Pmsl ... As if anyone in their right mind is going to buy this chalk other than a pro for curiosity purposes or a person that has more money than sense.
Right
I've managed to get a cube of this stuff
turned up today
think I'll only use it for matches because
I don't want to use it too quick
I'll stick up a review after I try it out
one thing I'll say is it's definately not
chalk as we know it, it's more like a clay
anyway I'll let you all know how it goes

Let us know how you get on, where did you get it? I see some on Ebay but I dont want to pay customs and they are all US sellers.
Do you consider the price fair?
I know you must have considered it acceptable when you placed your order but I am just wondering after you have used it do you consider it a good price?
In truth I wanted to try it
at the moment the price is very steep
and probably too much
I tried it this morning
first thing is it isn't really like chalk
if anything it has the look like a soft clay
or even a sort of thick lipstick
all the talk of not having to chalk so often
is true, I played five or six deep screw shots
with no miscues or need to apply any more chalk
I'm sure you could miscue with it I just didn't
let the tip get that bad
I wouldn't use this on a normal soft pressed tip
but as has been said in numerous threads on here
there is a problem getting chalk to keep on layered
tips
This definately does stick much better than
anything else I've tried
it is early days and as I said I'll probably only use this
when I play a match because of the price
but it does seem like a good product
hopefully as it becomes more readilly availible
the cost will come down and if it gets to a decent
price I will definately use it
as I understand it it is still a work in progress
hence the .98 name
maybe when they get the final version out
and in greater numbers then the price may come down to a
more acceptable level and it may become less rare
so to sum up
is it any good yes
is too pricey definately
would I use it if the cost came down yes
but then I am a sucker for a gimmick
I mean let's face it who thought a few years ago
back that anyone would pay £10 for a tip
but people do
if this chalk means that the tips don't glaze over
and I don't have to keep roughing up the
surface so regularly and consequently lasting longer
then it might not seem as expensive as it does now
time will tell
and I'll keep you all posted
