  • Blue diamond or elkmaster???

I've always used blue diamond tips as they suit my game but some people say they are spongey so i had an elkmaster tip fitted by cue craft and its hard as nails!!! i can hardly rough it up... Is it just that i'm used to blue diamond tips??? Help with advice please... Is there a tip thats inbetween??? should i just stick to what i know or is it all in my head???

MW tips are very good and similar to a decent Elk. Talisman Soft are also worth a try.

if your finding elkmasters too hard i wouldnt even bother trying pro granites. Blue diamond are one of the softest you can get.

pro granites are a hard tip but after a few weeks they do soften up and play very good you just have to stick with them for a while also
omin reds are a very good tip but hard to get hold of. the best tip imo by a mile are mw super tips they are superb.

If your looking for a soft tip have a look at some of the Pool Barons, ADR has some and there is some on the bay, they range from soft to medium+ worth a look imho.

Definitely Blue Diamond for me, didnt like the feel of the Elkmasters unless I just happened to be out of sync at the time I tried one lol. Though apparently you can get better reaction with the Elks some say, not a massive power player anyhow so happy with the Blue Diamonds really.

                              tips!!!

i honestly believe if you can play, and i mean really play, you can honestly play with anything.

i've always used elks, but had no choice but to buy a new cue, i decided to get one off mike wooldridge for lots of different reasons but mostly cos i liked his arrogance lol.

anyways i got it and i'm guessing it's got one of his tips on, and to be honest i'm playing great with it, it's a bit harder and seems to keep its shape more than the other tips i've used, so why not try one of them?

a mate of mine uses a kemui, or sumfin like that, it's one of the those layered tips, very hard and keeps it's shape, he's playing really well with it and reckons he wont use anyfin else now.....
