simplest way and wholly ingenious, get another case that will fit your new one inside, and use that case to protect the other!

You know the leather bumper you see used on the butt of snooker cues...you can get a long stripe instead of a round circle made to your dimension and just glue it on the ends. Some places that do shoes repair can do that for you.

When you spend lots of £££ on a case the last thing ya wanna do is trash it, end protectors are a great idea as the leather tends to get scuffed...
