thats good coz me sis is sending me some, as i think you pointed out in your tip guide im in nightmare blue diamond territory at the mo. The last box our club had there was some variation to them, some rock solid, some very soft, and the rest in between, so there was always a few keepers for everybody. Heres the problem, i re-ferruled my trusty 25yr old 1piece ash powerglide excalibur after a cpl of years with the ferrule need filing down till it was a tiny band. Anyway did the job only lost half inch but the cue throws much less predictibly ever since because its that little bit stiffer. This is where the tips come in, ive discovered that when i get a softish BD i get better grip on the cueball and this helps balance the change in stiffness of the cue. Problem is that the current box of BDs weve got are all very firm to rock hard and i can get on wit these at all. Could easily go through a doz tips to find a good un, no harm in giving these blue velvets a go til i get a new box of better BDs. Sorry to go on but i feel a lot of the time people can get on with their cues and change them not realising that possibly they only need to find a better tip

I used to love blue velvets, very soft so if you like to keep roughing the tip up they disapear quickly. On the upside they're a dream to fit and shape.

A lot of the BDs in the box in our club are lopsided, being very compressed on one side and less on the other, doesnt make for a consistent hit. will try to get a cpl of pics up, cant work out how yet tho!
