Looks like I made a wise choice. I just ordered a pack of MW Super Tips. 10mm but I have a 9.5mm cue. Question besides sanding it down is there a better way to get ride of the extra hanging over the edge?

Sharp stanley blade. Put the cue tip down on a flat stable surface, and lightly cut the tip away. Make sure the blade is very sharp though, otherwise you could ruin the tip
I find the mushroom grazer really handy , does the trick perfect .
I found it the biggest waste of money ever, it wasn't even made for snooker cues it was made for American pool cues so it doesn't even hold the cue in place and is so awkward to use, it is a lot easier just to use a Stanley blade unless I'm missing the instructions on how to use it lol

Yes it is strange first of all buy when you get the hang of it , it does a great job . Its perfect for hard tips buy not tried it on elks etc so cant comment on that . I would advise to mask off the ferrule until you get used to it .
