    Balls get mixed up in clubs. Cue balls get replaced. Some are actually smaller than others. New sets may be different than older ones. I will use the yellow as a cue ball if necessary.

      There is even a theory that the cue ball wears down from being used more than other balls, but I can't see it weighing that much less.

        interesting ... I have my own set of TC's but would agree with The Stig - I can get noticeably more action off a club white (on club object balls) than my TC white (on TC object balls) ... in my case, it might be because I play a lot more UK 8ball than snooker so the weight of a TC white scares me LOL ...

        but I prefer playing with my TC's since they're more consistent and roll nicer ... also, I think, the table and cloth must play a part - I play at Riley's so they're not exactly tournament standard tables or cloths ...
