I agree. Triangle chalk seems to be the players standard choice. I don't think I know any players who don't use it. Silver Cup & Pioneer and alike are really used by the pool fraternity.
Speaking of chalks, what is the difference between the regular blue chalk and the green ? besides the fact that the green one leave marks on the table and the blue one leave marks on the cue ball ?

I think the dye used to colour the chalk is the reason as to why the cue ball is marked more by one than the other, blue being the main offender.
