Aurora cue oil

Just a quick question really,just received my aurora cue oil and cloth today,my question is how to get the best finish when applying the oil,and can it be used on the shaft wood,my cue is steamed pear shaft

I am sure the oil will be ok on pear shaft and the whole cue.
Application is as always, apply the oil evenly and lightly with paper towel (I think the Auroroa cloth is for buff not applying the oil itself), wipe off the excess, allow to dry, check for any dryness and repeat process. Once all ok, buff rigourously, dry paper towel and your Aurora cloth.
The trick is "little and often", if you try too much oil at one application you will get a sticky result that takes ages to buff out
