I don't know why people would wanna spend money on a tip protector. To me, a bubbletea straw or those thicker ones from Starbucks fits the snooker cue just nicely. Mine's a 9.5mm and I believe 9.6mm also can fit because there's still space from the one I'm using.

It might not be nice looking though.

I don't know why people would want to waste money on a tip protector either as it should be either in the case being protected or hitting balls and it never occurred to me I might need one.

I suggested the plastic rest extender because that is where I put mine so it does not fall out of the case rather than protecting the tip.
It has about a 12mm diameter so will fit any snooker cue.

If you really feel the need to use a 'protector' at least this won't mark you out as a Muppet or get the 'wtf' question from others!

I place the straw onto the tip and put it into a cue holder and hang it into the locker of the snooker club that I frequently visit.
