What exactly is the latest technology ?

Hope some one can shed some light on this question for me...When ever i find people selling a new tip they are all saying in there advert that the tip was made using the latest technology in tip making ! What exactly are they talking about ? What new technology are these people on about ? Hope someone can tell me...

Not going down that road Andy i use a blue diamond plus with great results and cant see me changing to anything else any time soon..Just asking why these people are saying this in adverts that's all.
