correct mate, they would not fit on my cases, ive thought of squaring the corners of my cases, but due to the leather i use
this is not an option, so i either get my own brass corner protectors made or change to thiner leather ?

I don't think you should change to thinner leather you don't want to change the quality of your cases mate. I think if anyone wants end protectors they can get make the brass strips as les147 and jim has done which don't look too bad in my option.
I will be make some up for my new case as soon as I get the brass for it

as said, brass screws comes with them, but I took a bit longer as I did some pre-holes so not to stress the little screws
