    A Question,

I've seen a few players in my time around using some sort of slip over tip protector whilst their cues are within the case are all of these home made or is there such thing to buy ? if so where can someone purchase them from please.

    thank you
    Kev

Small just to cover the tip or do they cover 3" or so with a loop above

Protectors or are they for anal people who hate getting chalk in their case? If the latter I'll get something sewn up lol

I was going to say I've seen cue hangers on ebay with loops for hanging cues vertically in wardrobe type racks on ebay...
Surely if it were to keep chalk from getting in your case you would just end up with a blue cue instead?

Chalk is all over my stamford case so don't bother me i n the slightest, what i am talking about is about 3 inch in length and slides over the top of your cue covering the tip ferrule and another 2 inch or so probably to stop it jerking up and down banging the tip in side your case

Ive seen people use a money bag to cover there tip before mine, i think i could make something with some tape but was wondering if there was actual accessories for this.

I put a piece of foam in my case to the side and end of the cue holds it perfectly still.
alternatively you could try these I was talking about (possibly cut them to length never seen one just sen them on ebay)

We smash our tips against rock hard balls !! Scuff em with sandpaper and grind the living daylights out of them with a block of abrasive compound then we return them into our beautifully crafted protective cases !!! Have I missed something ??

haha nice but ive trapped 2 tips now down the side of the chalk area where the flap covers the chalk and damaged my tip both times, one would say its poor design case (£370 stamford) or abused case maybe but the fact is where my cue lays in the case there is a gap that my tip end slides into so something over the end of it would stop that..but i did laugh at the above post

I made something similar a few years back because I guess I'm anal. I don't like chalk marks inside my cases(and yes, my chalk cube is covered also).

By the way, last week I sold one of my old cases. It was an easy sale for top dollar because it looked like new.
The bitter taste of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten.
