You are right... I have the same feeling too.....

But I'm not alone here ~~~~ There so many player here use to press the tip before using it.
Red Omin, Elk, Blue Diamond ~~~~ Just press it maybe till the thickness down by 30-40% !!!

I started with BD, tried Elkmaster, O'Min, Kamui, Talisman.
Ended up with LePro, six years now. Love their consistency, the reaction I get.
Really don't like laminated tips, they tend to be too brittle in my experience...
