                I just put mine between two bits of clean steel and whack them in a vice for a few days, your gonna shape them anyway so the fact they go a bit flat is not a problem for me.

                        I do it to all of them, saves me messing around with knocking them in, i only know if they are any good when i put them on and play, i have had two duff ones in the past 18 months, one split apart at the base, might have been my fault, the other one just did not feel right.
