Cheers Shaun that's where I got mine from, the tip on my new cue looks tiny compared to my playing cue but it's only meant to be 0.3 mm smaller.

Personally I wouldn't have thought it was such a precise game, bet most people can lose. 5mm on a tip without messing with a ferrule, lol

I agree Jim , but I think it's a mill out at least not the 0.3 I was expecting, but I could be wrong that's why I bought the callipers. I didn't think I would have been able to see the difference in the tips if they were only 0.3 mil apart, but it's very noticeable .

i play with a 9.5 ferrule and dome the tip so i prob end up playing with a 9.2.

Would you play with an 8.5 dome it to an 8.2,? This is the difference I'm on about.

I play with a 10mm ferrule, but i taper the tip and then dome it to just under 9.5

I haven't got a clue what any of this means lol, what has what you take your tip size down to got to do with buying a cue advertised with one tip size and it coming with another, say a mill smaller, would you then take it down another 0.5 of a mill, so it is then 1.5 mill smaller than advertised.
I'm not saying it's a bad cue, or it makes me play worse or better for that matter, in fact it has the nicest shaft I have seen , lovely arrows and the tightest straightest side grain I have seen on any cue, no wobble or twist at all in it,and it has a lovely hit, it just does my napper in as it looks so small compared to what I'm used to, but I could be wrong that's why I bought the callipers, if it is small I will try and get it redone to my size but it's on thin ice due to it's length.

Just that the tip size isn't necessarily the same size as the ferrule,

Calipers should be used to measure the ferrule diameter, not the tip.
Tips can be mushroomed bigger etc if needed
