  • Has Anyone Played With Blackspin tips on a Brass Ferule?

    Hey Guys,

    As per the thread title.

Was considering buying the Blackspin tips from Mike's shop, but wanted to see if anyone had any feedback on them?

    Thanks

    :-)

The one he stuck on my cue is a lot harder than the supertip, our seasons finished so I'll have it a few months, but current thinking is it's coming off before the new season and a supertip going back on.

Do the black ferrule play different to old style brass one?

Can mike add one to a old cue or does he have to do it to a new cue

Yes he can, but it's very expensive, something like £75 plus postage both ways, altho i think you do get a total refurb of the cue at the same time, and it's not just a ferrule Stevie, there's more to it than that, read this

Mike won't tell us how deep, and he probably just drills a small pilot hole, then screws it in . I would imagine.

Yes ad think so not to deep and core would need to be stif to fit in a small hole ?

Just stuck my new blackspin tip on, will try it on Monday. Excited! Anyone who has one.... Should I give it a little scuff on the top or not?
