  • Grand tips?

Hello anyone tried or currently using a grand tip? I was buying some loose elks from my club and the guy showed me a box of these which seemed to look good. So I bought one but before I put it on thought id check for any feedback? The last thing you'd want is to put it on, go to the club all geared up - take a few shots and think ' Whaaaat the f........' End up having a wasted session.. By the way I usually use elks..

      Grand tips?

Same here. until the other night while buying a few elks.. I think if I was offered one over the net or something id probably refused, but by the look od it I thought hmmm maybe?? Its a pressed oak leather tip, kind of a dark matt blue in colour and the height was about half of a elk. Just thought maybe someone's tried it before I stick it on? If not it might have to be the first to try, and then leave my review on here...

        I've tried the hard ones
They played ok and are hard for a pressed tip, properly hard.
Pretty good, but if you play with elks I'd give the soft ones a try, the one I tried I put on shaped and it didn't budge one bit no reshaping at all.
All in all it's ok for a reasonably cheap tip. I preferred it to elks but then I always find them a bit soft for me.
