Have a go with a Robin Scott pressed tip Gary, pretty cheap, I would say they are like a harder elk master. This is how you play darts ,MVG two nines in the same match!

Trouble is when a tip is getting bashed it's naturally going to harder regardless of the tip. I've tried all sorts and its pissed me off trying to find a tip that suits, to the point now i just put one on and forget about it. If it takes chalk it stops on if it doesn't it gets bitten off simples

I have been using my current Buffalo Diamond Plus tip for around 4-5 months, still playable. My favourite tip so far.
If you prefer a softer feel, keep more meat on the tip and don't shape it down too much. There comes a point when the tip becomes pretty hard when you take it down further. Still a pretty consistent tip for me.John Lim
