Chalk at the Coral UK and also Kamui chalk.

I play with ADR tan S and Triangle Spruce.
It covers well playing with spruce for two years and ADR tip for about four months.

I wanted ADR Soft and he only black in stock so that is what I went for.
I have used Triangle Spruce but it just does not cover as it did on a pressed tip, so have tried the Masters spruce a few times and will probably go over to that for the ADR soft tip duration.
As mentioned the tip is just about bedding in, so it may be that which is affecting the difference.
      Last night I used the Triangle Spruce and it worked very well, covering and not transferring... so who knows;
I will try both on Saturday and report back

kamui chalk is a fantastic product for american pool, but less so for snooker.

and can people stop saying laminated tips? they are layered.

Chalk at the Coral UK and also Kamui chalk.

I wonder what is the chalk recommended for the so called Ronnie elkmaster tips..? I have been using the Triangle spruce but like dave mentioned the cue ball turns spruce... Anyone know whether the consistency differs in the different colours of the master chalk..?

I tried Master chalk blue one. It seems that he is more consistent.
I asked the guy where I bought it, he said, they are not consistent. It's because of the color. You chalk your tip and plays. After a couple of shots do you think u still have sum chalk on your tip !!
u do'nt !! is just a color what you see!! because here they use more dye (not other kind of chalk) .
Anyway, strange story what he said!!!
I play with ADR soft tips and use master chlak (light green),, it works just perfectly for me!!

Thanks Ramon... Maybe try and order 1 of each master light/spruce see how they react...

I like the term laminated and not layered when it comes to these tips that are made from several pieces as opposed to the pressed tips; because (to me) "laminate" implies the layers are bonded together (i.e. glued) where "layered" does not necessarily implies bonding.

I may be wrong but cant help thinking Master Chalk are trying to promote their chalk 1/ Neil Robertson kept leaving his chalk on the table 2/ There were two pieces of master chalk on a shelf in the background during a interview labels well readable 3/ Players using Master chalk making a real deal of chalking up so the make and label were visible to all, could it be that some players are getting a back hander to use it ? have a friend who supplies snooker gear and he informs me that sales of Master Chalk have without doubt increased.

I think this is pretty common during this time of year when the big tournaments are on and there is more coverage of the game. Players who are new to the game as well as other players see their heroes using a particular product, whether it be a specific cue or the chalk they are using and think "If I get Master Chalk it will help my game" I've just done it myself, I saw this Master Chalk stuff they were using and thought I would give it a go to see if it is much different to my normal chalk choice.

Thats it guys i am now after just one night converted over to masters light green chalk, I noticed that Tweeten produce both masters and the light green triangle (king of them all) both are great chalks, and maybe its just that i use Kamui tips but from now on i will be buying the finer and softer masters chalk, it applies so well and not one sign of even a close miscue all night.

                            job done

Does it transfer to the cue ball?
