JRC said very similar with a bit of cardboard, but both methods not that good for oversize tips.
I did use the cardboard method for fitting a 10mm tip onto a 9.9mm ferrule, worked well
    Up the TSF! :snooker:

lol,, I had my doubts to use them on the maple shaft (because of stiffness ) . We got this cue yesterday. So, I changed the tip. And they play just as great as on the ash shaft!! My brother had not even once miscueing and he is very happy with it... anyway, I'm going to buy more. I placed my order while back for my own cue ( also maple ). As soon as he is ready, gonna need them.

I put one of these (black soft) on an old cue I've restored. Shaft had a split bout 10mm long from tip down, which I glued, and has no ferrule. I wanted a tip that will last a long time to avoid having to change very often. Hopefully I won't have to touch it for a long time with this tip on.

Had a knock with cue this morning and couldn't miss! It might become my playing cue!! Not bad for 15 quid off ebay!

Great tips, they feel harder than a pressed obviously but without that harsh sound. Sounded almost the same as a pressed apart from shots with a lot of top spin which will take a little getting used to. Lots of bite for a screw shot.

Great tips I will buy more!

They look quite tall, do they need to be reduced in height when shaping or just rounded off?

Retipped 7 cues the other day, 3 with elk masters, two with pro granite and my own cue with ADR 147 tip. First visit with my new tip 26 break which is good for me and a couple of shots latter it fell off, gutted so I put on the other one of the two I bought and after a couple of shots it fell of again. Out of the 7 cues retipped 4 tips fell off, it has to be down to the superglue I was using, must have been too brittle, anyway gutted because these tips are not cheap . I will have to try the ADR 147 again though because it shaped great and felt great from the first shot. I will need to get new glue , what a waste of an afternoon.
Any advice on a recommended glue?
                      Cheers. Ricky

Well, I can say that I have tried loads of tips, from Elkmaster to Sniper tips. And for snooker nothing is better than ADR tips.
I am using a black medium now and it feels just about perfect, the amount of spin you get from the cue ball is great. Score 11/10
You cannot improve your game if you don't have a cue and snooker table
                          BTW vucko means wolfie

                              Hi Ricky,

I use Loctite super glue gel. It gives you time to put tip properly and holds awesome.
