Bit of an odd one.
I bought a new case while over at craftsman today, one of these: (the lighter colour one)

Quality wise for the money, I think they're fantastic and it looks great - but when I got home I noticed I'd marked the outside with chalk so wet a cloth and tried to wipe it off, at which point the water soaked right in and the panel changed colour. I'm guessing this case is not remotely waterproof, or at least that panel wasn't - haven't tried the others.
Given we live in the UK that makes it about as useful as a chocolate teapot - is there any way to waterproof it? If so what's the best stuff for the job?
Cheers.
