This is a good tip, the guy is a regular on this forum too.
Also depends if you want to pay £5.99 for 1 tip but many here vouch for it, me included.

Historically I was always blue diamond and triangle green. I went up to a 10mm tip from a 9mm, so though I still have plenty of 9mm blue diamonds left in my box, I needed some new bigger ones. Went with the Buffalo blue diamond plus tips from ADR. They're excellent - almost identical to my (old eighties) blue diamonds. I still have plenty of triangle green left. If this was the combination you were used to using before, I don't think you'll find it displeasing.

I always buy in big boxes. I know what I like, and I see absolutely no reason to be constantly trying new things - particularly not expensive experimental tips. My general rule is: If it's good enough for Steve Davis*, it will always be good enough for me. I'll never be as good as the nugget.

the tip is far more important than the cue if you are an average player, let me know what is on it currently and what does not feel right and I will see what I have that will suit you.

Singl layerd tips : BDP / Mike W super tips / a good elk master ( if u'r lucky to find one ) !!!!

With the ADR and Mike W Super Tip I think for me personally the search is over in terms of finding alternatives to Elks.
Never tried Tiger, couldn't get on with Talisman's.

Now going to ask a daft question. How come there hasn't been a tip invented that don't requires chalk

There's been a few, but not very good.

Same way pros aren't using aluminium cues that can be made straight as a straight thing, and duplicated for feel ( I'd imagine )
Might be repeatable, but just don't deliver the same je ne suis quoi.

I take it you mean a tip that doesn't require chalk, but that gives the same feel / grip, etc as the current tip/chalk arrangement ?

This forum will get you buying and spending a lot on things you don't need that members who look into things too much suggest in threads!
And I've now come to the conclusion that all you need is a good Elkmaster/Blue Diamond tip with some Triangle/Master green chalk....that's it.
Edit: Although the ADR tips are good if you want a tip to last longer.

Plays about the same as ADR soft tip ,, But when u play the shot the tip feels like it's softer !! Never seen a LM tip that feels so soft at the time of striking !!! Also they're made diff comperd to other LM tips !! ( see tiger website for anymore info about this tips , if u'r intrested ).
Mike W says on his website that all LM tips are ( feels ) harder comperd to pressed tips ! I do agree with him , except one of them ( tiger soft ).
As for playblty : ADR tips re more responsief and H the chalk much better !!
If I would choose , I'ld say ADR tips has deff better playblty for snooker !! I can'nt say that about pool cus I do'nt play pool and have never tried them !!
Anyway, just a bit info ( sorry guys , kind of off the topic post here ).

That sounds like an interesting cue tip actually - Tiger Soft.
I might try one in the future, although I think I've found the two best tips for me - MW Supertip & ADR soft tips.
Regards the ADR tip I'm finding that the chalk doesn't hold as well as the MW tip - What chalk do you use Ramon ?

                                Thanks for the reply mate.
