Notice that the progranite is only 10mm. Will that pose any problem when fitting on cues larger than 9.5mm? I mean there is only a small margin for error

Nope its easy to trim down, scalpel and then a stanley blade to go close to the ferrule.

No not the trimming part. It is the sticking the tip onto the cue part. Not many margin to let you have an error

that is why I use the "repositionable" superglue type, gives you a second or two to get the position just right before it "sticks"
as you say 0.25mm all round is very difficult to assess if not used to it, but all you need to do is ensure you have over hang of tip all round, if it is over to one side slightly, no matter as the trimming will deal with that; the only thing you don't want is exposed ferrule where the tip is too far over one side and not covering part of the ferrule.
                    Up the TSF! :snooker:

                      what i did is:

get a post-it note, wrap il around you cue, like a straw with the tip inside
tape it, so you have a tube with the tip inside

drop of glue on the ferrule, slide the whole thing over and bobs your uncle
                      perfectly straight on every time

oh andif you use super GEL you can twist it abit before it sticks
so its evenly distributed all under the tip

Also you could consider getting one of those pencil sharpener type trimmers, i find them very effective, just be careful with them.

yep have done that in the past but when you get used to it, you can do with out any post it or matches or stuff like that, as with all things snooker - practise, practise, and more practise

Very hard to find the gel type super glue here in singapore. Any brands or type to recommend? Might try to find on ebay

Had the pro granite tip from GBL, on for a few days now, at first I wasn't sure as my cue was very quiet and I was hoping to get my slight ping back lol, but I have decided I am just playing with a quiet cue. The tip itself is spot on, if you like a hard pressed tip this is the one, no bedding in time, no pressing, just straight on ,and played with. In the last four days it has had seven hours roughly of snooker and I checked it today, there is no compression of one side( like you can get with an elk after a few hours playing some screw shots) it looks like I have just stuck it on, it's early days but it looks and feels like I have at last found my replacement for MW tips. They are hard but still nowhere near a laminated tip, which is just what I was after, cheers Stu at GBL and ADR for pointing these tips out.
Since it's getting discussed, I stuck the ten mill pro granite on a ten mill ferrule , (it needed a little trimming so it's slightly bigger than ten mill) no probs, using super glue gel.
