High Break Boards

For the clubs that use them, what do you guys to use as a high break board.

Would like to get something that looks half decent and put it on the wall for the new season so I have a few months to put one together.

Any pics or thoughts would be good.

yeah like the peg board, look traditionally right. but you gotta keep on top of it.. saying that theres nothing like a log book diary in the snooker room for the improving player so they can look back over the months and years what their putting in the cake.

Quite like this idea as well. Maybe a top 20 breaks and a book for the rest of us!

Actually, I like that a little better as it sort of categorises people and pushes them to get on the next page.

I've started to compile all this stuff like snooker ladders and entry sheets for a website so people can download it when they want it; there must be lots of it floating around that would be handy that we've all got but we don't know what each of us has!! Only just started so I'll post it when it's done.......

What about something like this for the high scores or if your going to have a ladder comp. Its a clocking in card holder, this and the plastic inserts look just the job.

That would make it easier to move the breaks when they change.

I know this is an old thread but I would rather search topic than duplicate.

I have got a high breaks board at our club. Just A4 prints but it has the club name and title permanently at the top.

We have decided to have a best 5 breaks recorded of 35 and over. Seems to work perfectly because no matter what your ability, your own high breaks will be a positive incentive, everytime you play. So your name goes up on the board once. With your best 5 breaks next to your name. The list of names goes in descending order from top to bottom. So unless your break made against an opponent beats any of your recorded 5, it doesn't go up! I think it's a great idea. Puts you in the right frame of mind as soon as you look at it.
For instance...I made 100 a few weeks ago and it couldn't go up! You have to be cruel to be kind.

In addition to the breaks board we devised. I was lucky enough to lay hands on an old moving message display. I later discovered that it is remote controllable. So I've managed to source a compatible remote. Wth a little trial and error, I have been able to also use this as the breaks board. I will get it wall mounted at the club soon for all to see! This breaks board is the best thing we ever did. As it gives us all a realistic target when we play. As long as you can manage to beat your lowest of 5 recorded breaks, it goes up on the board! Fantastic idea!
