Does anyone know about glass cues?

[Glass cue]

My great Grandad had a glass snooker cue that has been passed down the generations of my family and none of us know anything about the cue. I am hoping that someone on here may be able to shed some light on the subject: history, about them and where they came from. I will post pictures and will try to respond to anyone that comments as promptly as possible.

I seen some on display once in a set - they where in a presentation case with sone glass balls - just ornamental I think.
