They are harder tips used by many American Pool players. See no reason why you couldn't use one if your after a firmer hit... :snooker:
Cheers Wolfie. Did you cut it down to a snooker ferrule size; was this an issue or did you find it an advantage in that you got the heart of the tip on your cue. Some say this results in a better tip; cutting a big pool tip down.

Personally I find the whole trimming down from 14mm-9mm very laboured. That said I have installed some nice tips this way. It's all down to personal preference. I use Black Heart (one of my sponsors) snooker tips now which are layered leather and work for me. Again, personal choice. If you can get a 10mm triangle imo you'll be better off Splash... :snooker:
