  • Simonis cloth cleaner

    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SIMONIS-X-...EAAOSw-CpX~hVU

Anyone used one of these? Far too expensive for me but I might try and knock one together for cheap, any idea of what I could use for the static cloth?

A bit of Flotex carpet tile on a block, that's what we use.

Not that I know of Jonny, everyone uses flotex as far as I know, there used to be a place you could email and they would send you out a few A5 size samples for nowt and that's how I got mine, ideal size,I can't remember who they were unfortunately ,maybe someone else will know. It's good stuff, it's like a very hard wearing flooring ,probably for offices or main entrances into buildings.

If I dig out an old Hi-vis I could probably pick up a couple of squares for free then.

To add to this. We use the flow side first to start the nap down. Then we use the against flow to make it slightly easier to lay down the nap. This way it prevents the flotex from pulling too much, which will harm the nap. Plus its more difficult to use the rough side first.
                Cheap and Cheerful! 😄
