Hi folks
A good number of years ago I purchased a new snooker cue, at the time of ordering I was told that a worthwhile upgrade would be to have an Elk tip fitted to the new cue, this was done and I was very pleased with both the cue and the way it performed.
Over the years I have continued with the Elk brand but now find that they are now very inconsistent, result being that I tend to go through a few tips before finding one that I am reasonably happy with.
I have read recently that they are nowhere near as good as the old Elk and would be inclined to agree.
Can anyone point me in the direction of a brand that they know to be good and most importantly consistently good, I like a lot of feel to a tip, preferably leaning to soft rather than hard.
I can manage breaks round about the 60-80 on a fairly regular basis and mostly lose it through bad cue ball control.
My thoughts rightly or wrongly are maybe a better tip will get me to the magic ton!
Thanks in advance for any advice.
Cheers
