Absolutely fuming after just coming off the phone to Stamford cues
I've been emailing them as regards to the catches on my Stamford cue case
I've owned the case for 20 months and at first I was cuffed to bits with it but after about a year the brass catches started to lose there lustre and look decidedly tatty this isn't great for the cost of the case but not the end of the world but what's happen since is
All 3 catches are just flapping in the breeze and the case is totally reliant on the buckelled straps ( which also have discoloured)
After being ignored by email for several weeks I called Stamford to be told they're having problems keeping stocks of these cheap and nasty catches
Then when I commented on there poor quality and how disappointed I was with hearing they'd do nothing to help the lady on the other end became very short and stated being vocal on how they've never had a problem
Well for one I've taken the time and effort while at Great Yarmouth this weekend to talk to players that own Stamford cue cases and in fact most suffer from this problem so don't be an ostrich and bury your head in the sand to the fact you advertise you use quality materials when these catches are cheap and nasty
It is a shame as the rest of the case is great but I look after my cues with great care and now I've just bit the bullet and ordered a case from Parris cues who dose use quality catches and I will tell anyone that listens to me at my club that Stamford really aren't all that in the way of cases or customer service
