I recently bought one of these tip presses. Just about ready to try it out on a 10mm elk master.
Question for those who has already tried one out:- Once the tip is compressed (elk master in my case), does the playability change w.r.t the sound it makes when striking the cue ball and does it take chalk just as well as a regular elkie?

I think poeple who do this clamping to tips usually dip tip in milk overnight before clamping. Cheers I think they call them milk dudds

You can press the tip with or without added things like milk, doing it with milk is called milk duds.

You seem to have experimented a lot with these tip clamps. In your opinion after pressing an elkie does it hold chalk just as well as the original?
