  • Push on telescopic extension or SD telescopic extension

    All,

I'm looking to purchase a new cue shortly which will have the SD joint fixing, but I'm keen to gain people opinions on the feel and playability between the push on extension and the SD extension?

    Thanks

    Scott

Screw in all day long, I just ordered screw in mini butt and extension. There are push on telescopic ones in the club I use, but they just don't feel so solid and the hit you get with them just does not have the same feel as one that's screwed in. My opinion of course, but sure most on here would agree.
I went into a chemist and asked for a deodorant, the assistant said "ball, stick or aerosol", "No, I want it for under my arms!" was my reply.

Get a screw-in one at the time you get the cue, get a mini as well

The push-on extensions are good when nothing else is around ( ad are 1000% better than the old fishing rods ) but they can be loose; and if you get your own, they tend not to fit in the case very well.

Screw in for me every time and they fit in the case neatly and you can get the size you want.

I'm always fixing the large ones that go over the cues but haven't had to fix a screw in one yet so maybe that tells a story.

have only ever found one case that i could fit a push on in, and that was a cheap thai imported one.
