Try the BA long ta tips, they will be going on all my new cues and use them myself.

Just buy some TS Long Ba tips from china and had choice of slightly cheaper Sapphire tips. I think from this forum and some research is that the sapphire tips may just be good for tipping house cues as they likely hard and not for a good player. Will try the Long Ba tips and see how they go as only used Elks ever.
Bit like a cheap guitar. You can put on good hardware and pickups and the guitar will sound good, same with cheap cue and quality tip; it should play ok...
